Referral Programme

These are the rules of the Cilevi referral programme, run by Doment Digital FZE LLC ("we", "us"). They are part of the Cilevi Terms of Use, and section 16 of those terms points here.

In short

  • Share your link. Every sale of Cilevi through it earns you $21.25.
  • That amount is 50 percent of the $42.50 a sale leaves us: the $50 price of Cilevi, less the Microsoft Store's 15 percent. It is the same in every country.
  • The share you join at stays yours for as long as the programme runs.
  • A sale counts when Microsoft confirms it, not when anybody tells us about it.
  • We pay by PayPal, once a month, once you are owed $50 or more.

1. Joining

Anybody who has registered in Cilevi can take part. Open the studio and press Referral at the top right. The first time, we send a six digit code to the email address you registered with, and you type it into the window. That is how we know the numbers are shown to you and nobody else. Taking part costs nothing.

The window shows your referral code, your link, and your numbers: visits to your link, installs, sales, what you have earned, what we have paid you and what we owe you.

2. What a sale pays

Cilevi costs $50, once, and is yours for life. There are no discounts. The Microsoft Store keeps 15 percent, which leaves $42.50.

Your share of that $42.50 is the share shown in the window on the day you joined. Today it is 50 percent, so each sale pays you $21.25. That share stays yours for as long as the programme runs. We may offer a smaller share to people who join later; yours does not change.

If the price of Cilevi ever changes, a sale pays your share of what the new price leaves us after the Microsoft Store's 15 percent, from the day of the change. Sales before it keep the amount they earned.

3. What counts as a sale

A sale counts when Microsoft's own record of the purchase shows it came through your link. We ask Microsoft directly; the app cannot make a sale up, and neither can anybody else.

Microsoft records your code when the person follows your link to the Cilevi page in the Microsoft Store and gets Cilevi from that page, in the same visit. If they take the free trial that way and buy Cilevi later, the sale counts for you too, because Microsoft recorded your code on their trial. If they leave the Store page and come back to it some other way, Microsoft does not carry your code, and the sale does not count.

A sale does not count, or stops counting, when:

  • it is refunded, reversed or charged back. We check with Microsoft again before every payout. If we had already paid you for it, we take it off what you earn next;
  • you bought Cilevi through your own link;
  • we reasonably judge it to be fake or abusive, for example many purchases arranged to earn a share.

Each purchase counts once, however many computers it is installed on.

4. Getting paid

  • We pay in US dollars, by PayPal, to the PayPal address you confirmed.
  • To set the address, type it into the Referral window. We send an email to your registered address with a link to a page, and the address only takes effect when you press the button on that page.
  • We pay once a month, for the sales of the month before, once what we owe you reaches $50. Below that, it carries over to the next month.
  • You are responsible for any tax on what you earn.
  • If the programme ends, we pay you what you had earned up to that day, even if it is less than $50.

5. How you share Cilevi

Share your link wherever you like: your videos, your posts, your website, your newsletter. Two rules:

  • Do not say or suggest that you are Cilevi, or that you act for us.
  • Do not send messages people did not ask for.

6. Your data

To run the programme we hold your referral code, the share you joined at, your numbers, the PayPal address you confirmed and what we have paid you. We count visits to your link using a one way hash of each visitor's IP address, never the address itself. The people you refer are never shown to you, only counted. The Cilevi Privacy Policy, at https://cilevi.com/privacy, explains all of it, including what a copy of Cilevi installed through a referral link sends us.

7. Changes and ending

We may change these rules. If we do, the new rules are shown in Cilevi and on this page, and the share you joined at still does not change. We may end the programme; if we do, we pay what you earned up to that day, whatever the amount.
