The Studio window
On this page
The Creator Studio is one window in four parts.
The top bar
Left to right: Record takes you back to the recorder toolbar. New, Open, Open Video and Append Recording start or add to a project. Save and Save as. Undo and Redo. Then the blue Export, and at the end About and Support.
Open Video is the one people miss. It makes a project out of any video file you already have, from any source. You get the backgrounds, the canvas shapes, the captions and the overlays. You do not get automatic zoom or the drawn pointer, because those need the information only a Cilevi recording carries.
The preview
The middle. This is exactly what the export will look like, drawn by the same code that writes the file, so nothing is a surprise at the end. Space plays and pauses. Home jumps to the start.
You can drag things directly on the preview: the camera, a title, an arrow, a blur box.
The timeline
The bottom. Tracks stacked up, clips on them, and a playhead. See The timeline.
The panel on the right
This is where the settings live, and it has two sets of tabs depending on what you have selected.
With nothing selected you get the project tabs: Background, Camera, Motion, Captions and Keys. These are settings for the whole video.
With a clip selected you get the clip tabs: Transform, Cursor, Audio, Overlay and Zoom. These change the one clip you clicked.
If a control you are looking for is not there, the usual reason is that the selection is wrong: click empty space on the timeline to get the project tabs back, or click a clip to get the clip tabs.
